It's a nice building from the outside. You can see reporters hanging around :) Not sure if one can go in. We didn't.

Super cool, took the kids - got to hear all about the court. If you come when they are in session you can slip in and listen. This was a great thing to teach our kids

We went on 10/29 to listen to the oral arguments. Note that there are typically two, 1 hour cases per day. They on average take 50 people in the court room. You have two (free) options: 1. Listen to the "whole" case (30mins-60mins) or 2....More

Unfortunately, you never know how early to arrive. For the 3 minute line you can probably arrive between 7-8AM. If you want to hear an entire argument you must arrive by 6AM. Regarding your camera, etc. there are lockers for... More

We didn't do the tour but had the docent half hour 'lecture' about the supreme court. It was deadly boring but I think it depends on who is leading it We had amazing guided tours at the library of congress nation archives... More
