My time on Boca Brava Island was magical and easily the best trip of my life thus far. The fishing and diving was absolutely amazing. Every Captain and guide were not only great to be around but also put us on world class fish every day. To say it was the best trip of my life is an understatement. Complimenting our time sporting was the accommodations and staff at Cala Mia Resort. The staff (both hospitality and kitchen) are first class all the way. Attentive to my every need they made my stay the most relaxing, and regenerating, I've ever experienced. Meals are prepared with flavor and flare unparalleled by any resort I've visited while the attentive hospitality staff never left me wanting for anything. If you want the best of the best, Panama Nautical Club is the ONLY choice!

Not sure where to start. Although we were there during the low surf season, still managed to catch a bunch of head high waves with no one but us out (and even had a board broken!). Diving was extraordinary, both free and scuba. Even managed to shoot a 50 lb wahoo while headed out to Coiba island! And the tuna fishing was off the charts. Just when we were happy and ready to go back (with 2 fish over 80 lbs) we ran into another school of yellowfin and landed 4 more big ones! But by far the best part was the people working and guiding from Panama Nautical Club. Not only did they know exactly what to do and what was needed on our end, but they were really nice and fun to be around. That, combined with amazing accommodations and spectacular food and drink made for one of the best trips I've ever been on. Ever. Will definitely be back with the family.

Our time at Panama Nautical club was a once in a lifetime experience! The location on the peninsula on Boca Brava Island is world class. We enjoyed every sunrise and sunset from the balcony of the restaurant during the spectacular meals that Panama Nautical club had to offer. The best part of our whole trip was the insane Tuna fishing. Carlos could not have been a better captain and he certainly put us on the fish. We can not wait to return to Panama Nautical Club!

To say this place is special is such an understatement!! I decided to visit for my 40th birthday in an effort to have one of the most epic weeks on the water of my life. The crazy thing about this place is that even if I hadn't of had an absolutely amazing fishing adventure the resort itself was worth the trip 10 fold. The service was top notch & endearing. The food was 5 star quality all made from scratch. The villas and resort was beautiful and spread out to make you feel as if you were the only ones there. David and Ana were there to ensure we the the vacation of our lives and I've been to dozens of high end resorts over the years but this place takes takes the top spot in my book. I was also fortunate to have 3 days fishing throughout the week, I highly recommend fishing, resting, fishing, resting, and fishing bc my body was worn after being put on so many fish that were so large. Everyday said it was going to rain bc it was the rainy season but we only ran across rain one time in the 3 days out. Carlos is an amazing captain and his mate Christian teamed up to be a world class crew. I filled my coolers with yellowfin tuna, caught monster rooster fish, and also caught 2 black marlin and had 4 bites that day in what is supposed to be the "off season". My wife caught the biggest fish of her life as well so overall I highly recommend this destination to EVERYONE!

Had the pleasure of fishing with three deserving veterans at PNC. Been fishing for 30 years and this was one of the best trips. Two of the vets had never been off shore fishing, so this was a dream come true.PNC (David) made sure everything was first class, great crews, food, lodging, staff.
20 Yellowfin, 18 dorado, 1 rooster, 1 snapper - it was a workout.
If looking for a great fishing lodge in Panama, head to PNC.

We had a fantastic time on our fishing trip to Panama at PNC and Cala Mia. The grounds and the Cabanas were beautiful. Lots of monkeys running around the island. Although we were there for the fishing, there were a lot of activities offered. The fishing boats, tackle and of course captain and crew were top notch. Lots of fish to be caught. The food was always great and we were always given options for dinner, and most of the time we went with fish caught that day!! We were lucky enough to catch some nice fish and share our stories with the other guests. The bar was stocked with top shelf liquor and the staff did a great job keeping our glasses filled. It was great to come back from a long day of fishing, and lounge in the pool with a few cocktails. David has done a superb job with his property and his truly first class. His staff was always super friendly and without a doubt went out of their way to make us feel special. Without a doubt we will be back to see David, his staff, his awesome dogs and of course go to get “the one that got away”.

This autumn we visited Cala Mia for the second time. Last year we were stunned by the incredible beauty and excellent service.
This vacation the focus was on fishing. David and his crew exceeded our expectations. Besides the beauty of this resort David treated us with a royal service and unforgettable experiences during our fishing trips.
Inshore as well as offshore we were treated with beautiful fish like Roosters, Jacks and almost a marlin.
Although we experienced that other hotels dipped in quality in Panama, Cala Mia showed improvement. The food was excellent as it is the standard they have.
After 2 visits we are still not bored and plan to visit again. A real paradise for the adventurous traveller.

Wow, was this the perfect get-away-from-it-all vacation! The staff is awesome, the food amazing, and the fishing was great! Aura and her team made sure we (4 guys on a bday get away) were taken care of no matter where we were or what we were doing. Went to sleep and woke up every morning listening to ocean waves crashing on the beach. Can't wait to go back!

For my husbands 50th birthday he and 3 friends stayed here 5 nights and had an absolute AMAZING time. The resort is beautiful and has all the comforts of home. Lots of stuff to do around the island like hiking, paddle board, kayak and fishing. The guys fished 2 days and even though it was September and rainy season they caught Maui Maui, Tuna, Jacks, Rooster Fish and had the opportunity for 3 Marlins. Captain ChiChi and Edward were VERY knowledgeable and went above and beyond each day. Aura helped with the reservation and planned an extraordinary trip for the guys; complete with a special birthday dinner, cake and a nice bourbon one night. These guys are world travelers and the food and experience is top notch here. Great for a guy’s trip and couples. I searched around for months for a great fishing resort and Panama Nautical came up in every conversation and online research. Call or email Aura and just go!

Discovered an AMAZING gem with fantastic fishing and also family friendly. Panama Nautical combines world class sport fishing with a small secluded boutique paradise island resort (Cala Mia). Great to not have to choose between fishing and family. While out catching monster tuna, family can snorkel, kayak, paddle board, swim, play on beach, bird watch, and see monkeys!). Fine dining restaurant for all meals with fantastic food. Super friendly, attentive staff (English and Spanish). Unbelievable views from beautiful cabanas and restaurant. Grounds are a tropical garden.
We had a 6 day vacation planned, 3 days at Panama Nautical/Cala Mia and 3 days at another resort. When about to check in at the other resort, with all family regretting having left, we arranged our return to spend all 6 days. We plan to make it an annual trip.
