About
Lowe Wines is an organic & biodynamic winery, vineyard and farm in Mudgee NSW, headed by David Lowe. Backed by over 45 years of hands-on experience, Lowe follows a minimal intervention philosophy to produce wine from untrellised and unirrigated vineyards. Combined with their small batch, slow winemaking methods, the resulting wines are a true reflection of the place they are grown. The Lowe Cellar Door lies within the working winery on the Tinja property, and enjoys spectacular views across the vineyards to the surrounding Mudgee hills. Open 7 days, a visit is the best way for you to explore the range of wines, learn their stories and meet the winemakers. Enjoy a personal wine tasting, nibble on a regional platter or take a stroll around the farm, it’s all part of the experience at Lowe Family Wine Co. Next door will also find the acclaimed regional restaurant & food garden, The Zin House, headed by Kim Currie, as well as The Pavilion by Lowe wedding & events space.

A little bit ho hum

We overheard some people say they'd enjoyed a visit to Lowe Family Wines some time ago so we thought we'd try it. The wines weren't to our taste, which is not a problem, but the service was slow and seemed to lack enthusiasm. Too many good vineyards in the area to hang around here just waiting.

Feels like home!

Wow- never have I walked into a winery and felt like I was a part of it. Lowe wine makes you feel like your at home, from the moment you reach the beautiful gates that welcome you into the Lowe wines tasting rooms surrounded by the tall trees, sunflowers, bees and birds you feel you belong. The welcoming, kind and respectful service upon arrival and throughout your visit from a diverse arrange of staff makes you feel welcomed and peaceful. The outstanding knowledge of all staff- the stunning views WOW, and the incredible local produce (try a picnic hamper and relax at the wine barrel tables or on the grass), the indulgent vegetable gardens flourishing! The WINE! EVERYTHING! This is only a little bit- everything is amazing at Lowe Wines- and for me, LOWE wines is the best winery there is to offer in NSW. It’s my home away from home.

We enjoyed a lovely platter with our wine tastings.
A very pleasant way to spend an afternoon. Well laid out with gas heaters in the barn which we appreciated on a very cold day.

Personalised and informative

Easy online booking for tasting by 3 friends. Gorgeous sunny winter afternoon saw us seated outside looking over the vines during our tasting. Stark contrast between Lowe’s single biodynamic vines surrounded by green and the distant trellised vines surrounded by brown. Kesh served us each wine with excellent knowledge and lots of humour. We finished with a wander around the lovely grounds. A genuine highlight of our visit.
