The Discovery Centre provided a range of hand on activities that kept the children engaged for more than 3 hours. We could have stayed longer but we had other plans for the day. Well worth the $48 for pensioner and 3 children. The staff were...More

Went with my 7 year old grandson and he loved it. Some of the things are a bit dated but he met a couple of other boys there and they had a lot of fun. The vertical slide caused lots of excitement and the planetarium...More

Great way to spend an hour and a half on a Sunday afternoon. Out kids are 11 & 12. Much older and they’d lose interest I think. Lots on hands on science experiments. Topped off by half an hour on the vertical slide. It allows...More

Thanks for the review Tonkinnz - watch this space. We have some renewal plans to hopefully extend the ages of engagement. Glad your children had a great time.

We visited here a few weeks ago and we just loved the place! First impressions was that it was a little small, but once we walked around we had plenty to entertain us for hours. Only criticisms are that a few of the displays need...More

Hi Kat, Thank you so much for your review - and you are so right. Our exhibit floor has been loved by visitors for twenty one years. It is one of our priorities to create a master plan to bring the floor into the 21st...More

Last time I was there it was the same things nothing new and still just as expensive!!! So go elsewhere unless you haven't been before because it is good for the first time. Otherwise the Melbourne science works is next on the list of science...More

Hi nshoi, Thanks for the feedback - we have plans to refresh the exhibits, but taking a bit more time than we anticipated. We have to be very careful how we spend money, as a community run organisation, we don't have the budget that Scienceworks...More

When we entered we actually considered not going further in. But boy am I glad we did. It's much more interesting and fun than it appears definitely worth the visit.

Thanks so much Peter L - peering into an old warehouse can make it feel like a gamble paying for entry. The team is pleased you took the punt.

More stuff for kids than science works including vertical drop, mirror maze. Just fix your mouse trap and I'm happy with a good hour of entertainment.More

Thanks for the review Bootheman. We're challenged to fix the kinetic machine because when we take it off the floor for repairs we get so many complaints. We close in February and one of the big jobs then will be a refit of the machine....More

I read all the reviews first and my boy still wanted to go. The parking was fine, I didn't park near the building but in the shopping centre car park with no hassles at all. The staff were ( for lack of a better word...More

Thank you Lena - you're right, what adults think will be good and what children engage with are sometimes in sync, and sometimes completely different. I wish you'd stayed for the rest of the science show - the water and fuel rockets are fun and...More

Spent 3 hours here with my kids (9 and 7). Spent a long time with the exhibits which are very interactive and hand on. Went to the planetarium and science show as well. A great activity for the kids and I had fun too.

Thank you for taking the time to submit a review Winnie. And we're very glad you had a good time. We're proud of our school holiday activities, and happy your children enjoyed them.

We spent a very engaging afternoon at the centre. There are so many hands on activities that can be enjoyed by school age children but with enough complexity and challenge for big kids as well. Some of the exhibits need a bit of TLC but...More

Thank you for the review Xartec. We work hard on our school holiday programs, and it's rewarding to get feedback. We are working on a medium term strategy to upgrade the exhibits we have on our floor, with the main aim of them being hands...More
