Established in 1887, Bendigo Art Gallery is the largest, and one of the oldest regional galleries in Australia. The Gallery's collection is extensive and varied with an emphasis on 19th century European art and Australian art from 1800s onwards, alongside a strong collection of contemporary Australian art. The collection is complimented by dynamic temporary exhibitions and a diverse range of public programs and events.

As this promotion will end in Jan 2018 go and see it before it finishes it was excellent. The costumes brought back memories of the many movie stars she dressed and the movies. will suit nostalgic buffs.

It was well worth the drive from Melbourne to Bendigo , despite the dire weather warnings. I also got the perfect car spot across the road. The Edith Head exhibition was brilliant and what a great venue at the gallery. Plenty of room to wander...More

This is a Gallery which actively sources exhibitions from overseas as well as from Australia. It is a modern structure and kept in pristine condition. Of course there is a opportunity to purchase items from the souvenir shop whilst you are there. It also houses...More

Friend and I went to the Edith Head exhibition and it was lovely. The gallery has so much room to move around and you never feel crowded in there.

Went to Bendigo especially to see the Edith Head Hollywood Costumes display and was not disappointed. Incredible display that was very popular, but we were not crowed out - had lots of room to move about and see everything.
