"Spectacular place for history buffs"
absolutely to revise such a fascinating place where there is so much history. From above the sanctuary, one can admire a beautiful panorama. We return.

After driving around the mountains with stops at San Lorenzo Bellizi (extremely picturesque) and for hiking, we drove up up up to visit la Madonna delle Armi. The sanctuary is an impressive, massive stone structure with steps up to the church housing the image of the madonna. Gorgeous views of the Ionian Sean and the mountains. Good place for a picnic lunch. When we visited in April, we were the only people there. Not to be missed.

A very beautiful sanctuary. An employee gave us an informal tour as it is more of a wander around type of place. They are very proud and excited to share this pace with you. Great history and nicely preserved. The views are amazing and it is hard to imagine a journey on foot to the top of this mountain (which many people did log ago)! One of the most breathtaking sanctuaries we visited (and there are many!) as far as vistas and buildings. Picnic tables for lunch and a nice little cafe for refreshments. Not far from the mud baths which is where we headed afterwards! It's a bit of drive but worth it. Bring hats/sunscreen.

The route via Francovilliari is breathtaking and the site itself is so nice to see. Very special to visit.

sarebbe opportuno che lo postate in vista, senza difficoltà a cercarlo!

Più che ristoranti (piuttosto mediocri in quella zona), ti consiglio una bel pranzo al sacco con pizza casereccia di Cerchiara di Calabria oppure un bel pane farcito con salumi tipici calabresi e formaggio. Tappa da non perdere: Panificio di Vito Elisa, situato lungo la strada provinciale che da Cerchiara porta fino al Santuario !!
