What a day! I took the Gondola to the start of the track rather than taking the Tiki trail, which is an excellent choice if you have doubts about your fitness. This was the most challenging hike I've ever done, but it was absolutely worth...More

We love a hike and have done many a big hill and this was definitely one to check off. It is a good track all the way to the Ben Lomond Saddle but it is constantly uphill, and steep with it. Relentless even. But every...More

A great hike with a challenging 4341 feet gain in about 3 hours. The views are amazing. Make sure you bring a a warm jacket/windbreaker, possibly gloves and hat even in the spring/summer. It gets really windy once you reach the saddle. A great place...More

We did the full hike from the city center to the top. If you want to save some energy and time, take the gondola to skip the tiki trail. The Ben Lomond track has some very nice views during the walk. On the top you...More

Superb view around the area. My family and I really enjoyed ourselves for this activity. Booked for a 3pm slot so it wasn't too sunny!

Absolutely gorgeous! I took the gondola up and saved some time hiking because I got started later in the day but the views from up there are just the beginning! Warning though, this is not an easy hike, as other review suggest. After 30ish minutes...More

Ben Lomond is a must do hike while in Queenstown. I start just off of Thompson Street which isn't too far from the CBD. It's a very gradual climb up through the forest which offers excellent shade, especially on a sunny day. It's not well...More

The track we definitely difficult getting to the top, but the views were absolutely breathtaking. I would 100% recommended giving it a go, it took us 90 minutes to get to the top but it was worth it.

We took the gondola up and then found the track from the top. It was hard work, uphill all the way, and we just went to the saddle as the track became quite deep snow - it was estimate 1.5 hours and it took us...More

Didn't take overly long 2hrs up and down walking from the base of the town (walking fast), amazing 360 degree views of the lake and mountains. Summer is definitely best time to walk unless a keen snow hiker.
