Great spot to visit for the day or to camp. The loop track around the lake is a lovely walk and worth doing.

We drove to the lake then took the track to the rover. It is a nice example of the Central Otago landscape.

If you are looking for something close to Queenstown which you can access the real outdoors, then head to Moke Lake. Great views and walk available. Single track to get out there in places, but well worth the effort.

Lovely lake with a nice and easy track running around the whole perimeter! Great camping spot at the DOC campsite on the lake side.
