A wonderful half-day with a casual minibus drive out on the beautiful Otago Peninsula (with a useful commentary from the driver - the horse trough memorial being an interesting example). Penguin Place was OK. It was disappointing to hear we could not see Yellow-eyed Penguin...More

We did a package tour - so this review is for the mini-bus tour to Penguin Place and then the cruise (which takes you out of the harbour and then back into town). Mini-bus. Efficient way to get out of Dunedin ‘town’ and out to...More

Thanks Jim Our skippers work hard on their commentary so it's great you liked it so much and great that you complimented them. Each trip is different so they really have to stay on their toes to find the wildlife and then make their commentary...More

Thanks very much Wendy - so glad you liked it. You're right - we never know what we're going to find and that makes it fresh for guests and crew alike. And we encourage our skippers not to thrash around too much! Neil

Beautiful weather really helped to make this a fabulous trip, and we saw so many seals, hectors dolphins, shags, and albatrosses - on the nest, in the air or on the sea. Excellent spotting by our hosts and knowledgeable about the wildlife. Woukd highly recommend!
