About
Featured in 2019 Guinness World Record Gamer's Edition and Lonely Planet, The Nostalgia Box is Australia's first interactive Video Game Console Museum. The museum is a celebration of video games and the people that made them happen. The museum contains more than 100 consoles, representing the evolution—and sometimes revolution—that occurred from the 1970s through the 2000s. Go behind the scenes of your favorite games and consoles, learning about the tremendous work that went into them. Play a plethora of classic video games, replaying games from your childhood or making entirely new discoveries. Play a round of Pong, challenge a friend to a high score in Space Invaders, or blast through levels of Super Mario Bros, Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd, and Crash Bandicoot. This is merely scratching the surface. Relive your childhood, discover gaming's sometimes secret history, and plant appreciation for old-school gaming in a younger generation.

This was our first time but my 9yr old son & I had an amazing time looking back at all the original gaming consoles up until the present day. We played some games together had an absolute blast & the young man who worked there was very knowledgeable & has a good chat with him reminiscent of the old skool games. Definitely won't be the last time we visit

My modern day teens really enjoyed this museum and had to be dragged away after a couple of hours. The lovely man running it was super helpful and accommodating. I got a kick out of the old consoles on display. I highly recommend this hidden gem!!

I accidentally stumbled upon The Nostalgia Box Museum via Google Maps and knew immediately that I'd like to visit. My partner and I had a lot of fun playing games that reminded us of our childhood and the staff was amicable as well!

I loved the museum itself, it has a lot of information about all the consoles and their history. I learnt a lot about gaming consoles that I didn’t even know until I visited the museum. Then, I played Mario Kart, Super Mario, the first Pac-Man and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater after 20 years!
The staff was awesome and they’re happy to share all their video game knowledge with you. I’ll definitely come back!

The staff are very helpful when it comes to service for people with a disability and their support workers. By accepting the WA companion card it means that accessibility is achieveable in terms of cost. The consoles on display are aweson according to my son and this support workers enjoy the experience as well.

Absolutely loved this place! I'm a proud 90s kid who loves video games, so when I found this Museum completely by chance while researching Museums in Perth, I knew I had to visit this place.
I wasn't disappointed! At least half of the consoles on display I'd never heard of, though I felt like I was a kid again when I saw my favourite consoles, the Mega Drive/Genesis and Master System. Had lots of fun playing old school games like Pacman, Mario Bros, Sonic and Alex Kidd.
Spent a couple of hours here, could've easily stayed longer.
Wonderful place for both adults and kids alike, would definitely recommend.

I took 5 kids aged 12-15 to the Friday night quiz night. It was excellent relaxed fun from beginning to end. Caught a train into the city & walked through the Friday night buzz to Nostalgia Box where we were welcomed with pizza and unlimited access to heaps of games. The quiz was relaxed but fun and the kids could get up and play games during it all which was perfect and avoided fidgety-ness. All for $22 each. A pretty neat trick to lure them out of the house into the real world and back into my days of short sharp video games. A room full of real live local people having actual wholesome fun with each other. Being able to take our own drinks & snacks made the night affordable & was a refreshing draw card by a business genuinely interested in ensuring we had a good time rather than bleeding us for as much cash as possible. We will definitely be back. Thank you so much!
