The mounds and cemetery are worth the visit. You can see the Jelling stones in the graveyard. The museum is free admission and hands on and interactive. You may touch and explore nearly everything! Great place to visit with kids. Friendly and helpful staff.

Loved seeing the runic stones, great small museum as well summarising some key historic points about the areas viking history. Beautiful view from the rooftop terrace. Very peaceful, with relatively few tourists which made it an enjoyable visit on a lovely sunny day.
