Cycled to the castle from Vleuten and spent the morning walking through the castle and gardens. Very interesting and most enjoyable. The gardens make a nice setting for a picnic on a summers day.

We love traveling to Europe and touring as many castles as possible. The castle is one of the prettiest I have seen. It's a must when visiting the Netherlands.

Absolutely magnificent. Its very close to Utrecht and you shouldn't miss it. Its like a travel to the past. The road that leads to the castle is full of trees and little rivers and it gets better when you reach the castle.

Largest castle in the Netherlands, just outside the central city of Utrecht where I lived years ago...very picturesque with gorgeous grounds and landscaping, typical Gothic style from the era. Don't miss it!

There is no way to buy tickets online for the Kasteel de Haar. You can buy them at the ticket office at the place only.
