We travelled here on a Viator guided tour, it was well organised and we saw quite a lot of the valley, including taking a boat trip along some the river. If you are anywhere near this region, you simply must visit!

An amazing place. We stayed at Quinta da Viega. Highly recommended. Great family atmosphere. Warm hospitality. Great wine. The view from the estate and the room is breathtaking.

Yes in my opinion. Depends on how many wineries. We did a small group tour (8 people) from Porto stopped in two towns that river cruises stop and went to 3 wineries.
