This is a beautifully decorated church and the last resting place of all the Tsars. It’s more of a mausoleum.

Not the most decorated church, but full of interesting facts and helps fill in the history of Russia

Patterned after Hagia Sophia, with a dome with an intricate gilded pattern, this is one of the most amazing churches I have ever seen.

Just one more beautiful cathedral that is a must see on your tour of Saint Petersburg. The beauty and decadence of this cathedral is again second to none rivaling Notre Dame and theVatican.

Sited on top of a hill the Naval Cathedral dominates the skyline. Saw this impressive building as we sailed passed the Kronstadt naval base of the Russian navy.

This is a beautiful cathedral, with all the interesting artefacts inside. It was very busy with lots of tourists and this can be a let down to enjoy some quiet moments in this beautiful church.

A classic Russian orthodox church. We happened to visit during a service and the singing was absolutely first class. We felt very privileged to witness its long surviving tradition.
