Unexpected surprise
Oct 2019
The museum is easy to miss. The door is small and does not suggest the range of interesting things you will find inside. We were greeted by two delightful volunteers who gave us a short introduction and then set us off to explore. There are lots of displays with visual and audio elements as well as items of interest.

Thank you so much for your review. We try to advertise where we are using the banner and welcome notice, but we are aware of the entrance being unobtrusive, and perhaps dark on entry. We are so glad you enjoyed your visit....please come again sometime in future.

Fantastic Little Museum
Oct 2019
This museum is across the road from the cathedral. it is run by locals and is totally independent. Volunteers are very helpful with the information they give you. There is a video presentation about the area as well as many artefacts from the area.
Didn't have enough time to see it all on this visit but will be back.

Visited the museum after photos at the golden post box. Free entry and staff were so nice, gave my young daughter an activity to do find wee mice as she went round the museum passes half an hour.

So pleased that you were able to visit the Museum and that your daughter was able to hunt for our ‘mice’. We hope you will be able to come again sometime in future.

Compact museum
Jul 2019 • Couples
This is a fairly small museum which you enter via small entrance hall with a vaulted ceiling. The remaining rooms are full of memorabilia which mainly relate to Dunblane and the surrounding area. There is an additional display relating to the Atlantic Wall which is worth a visit. Free entry and interesting enough to visit.

Worth a visit
May 2019 • Couples
Spent 20/30 minutes here. Could’ve spent longer but the girlfriend wanted to leave. Downstairs is the early history of Dunblane, through into a room on the right is a small tribute to Sir Andy Murray.
Upstairs there’s an art gallery and a history room based on more ‘recent’ history. Throughly enjoyed the ‘telephone’ audio feature.
Entry is free but donations of £3 for the visit is WIDELY advertised.

Thank you so much for visiting Dunblane Museum. The Museum relies on donations to keep open, but it is not compulsory.
