It was a last minute booking for a bank holiday lunch, for me, my 5 year old son, and my dad. We all had the fish and chips, which was lovely and hot, quickly served and really tasty. Despite the horrendous weather conditions the staff had to cope with. The tipi was nice and airy and this made us feel quite safe, coupled with the distancing of the tables. Would recommend.

We recently visited Blakemere social as our first night out with friends after lockdown and it did not disappoint! Awesome entertainment, amazing Pizza’s and fantastic cocktails! Run really efficiently and totally COVID safe, it has everything you need for a good night out in this current crazy world we’re living in!

We came here the first weekend out of lockdown, obviously things are very restricted still. We booked a table outside at the Village restaurant and had a decent meal albeit served quite slowly, in fact we were given a free round of drinks to compensate, which went down well. Our two granddaughters enjoyed the little fairground although quite pricey at £3 a go for hook a duck! We had booked a craft session outdoors during which they enjoyed applying glaze to their choice of pottery items, however we then found out they would have to leave the decorated items to be fired and that we would be contacted in a week or so to pick them up! Fortunately we have a static caravan quite near so we are down quite often, this was not explained when booking. Most of the shops were open again although not all the attractions were and most have an age restriction of over 10’s only. The caravan park looked quite busy which is good. Still lots to do and things starting to hint at a return to normal.

Booked 7pm Boxing Day, rainy, wet, cold and windy. Very muddy walk, not suitable for buggies has it’s so deep in places you can’t push the wheels through the mud. Great concept but too muddy to enjoy the lights.

Inconsistent rules at Blakemere we all know the rules and we know we have to have food with alcohol but Blakemere obviously inconsistent the first night allowing us to consume 4 pints of beer then ordering a pizza between 2 then the second night being questioned on on food order and told we have to order 2 pizzas before allowing any drinks order?? Yeah we all know the rules but on the first night I actually felt like Blakemere was a bit more normal an element of trust we know we had to have food and we ordered when we were ready. The second night it was well we can't place your drinks order without food so sorry if I was confused but I know what the rules are thanks and also I have been staying in the park I've only spent a few hundred quid over 2 nights buying food and treats from the food court so be consistent so we all know we're we stand and it will make sense thanks x

Hi Lynsey, It was disappointing to receive your review titled “Crap” given the current regulations are beyond our control and especially as we are getting used to the current ‘tier system’. We would appreciate some consideration at this challenging time, particularly after such a tough year for our industry. It is set out in Schedule 2, Part 3, Section 14(1) of the Health Protection (Coronavirus, Restrictions) (All Tiers) (England) Regulations 2020, that alcohol can only be served in tier 2 areas alongside/part of a “table meal”. Guests are reminded of this on arrival and when an order is placed for alcohol without food, a member of staff will double check that you are also ordering food — our staff may handle issues slightly differently depending on the situation with regards to waiting times for the food you have/intend to order. Further to this, we could be subject to a £10,000 fine for failure to comply with the current rules; therefore, we have to be strict in the enforcement of COVID-19 related regulations. If you would like to discuss this matter first please do get in touch via info@blakemerevillagesocial.com Merry Christmas, Blakemere Village Social
