On the list of places to go and certainly a quieter spot but not really the place to go to spend much time in as stopping ponits are small and tricky. Lovely all the same.

This waterfall is beyond Sao Jorge. We walked it from Sao Jorge as a day trip, but driving would make more sense if you have a car.

The trail is a well marked path to a series of small waterfalls and pools along a river. The path is circular and about 1.5-2km in total. There was a charge to enter (I think about 10 BRL per person).

While lacking the wow factor of some of the attractions nearby, we enjoyed this place immensely. The swimming was good, and the scenery was pretty. At the final swimming pool, there's a natural waterfall you can swim under - lovely.

When we went round (mid week, slightly off season) we did not see anyone else - clearly an undiscovered gem!

It is not the best place in chapada dos veadeiros, however is a nice place to relax and see a unique formation. The place does not require a long distance to reach the canyon, but it is steep. You can swim in the middle of the canyon formation, and the waterfall can only be reached by water.

There wasn't no one to give us informations about the area, the guy on the entrance just gave us a poor map, very difficult to understand. With the same price they charge you can go to many better waterfalls around, because this place doesn't really have a waterfall, just a trail and a small swimming area. On the exit went to complain about it and the owner was rude as never some one have been with me in Brazil. .

Easy and well signalised trail. They give us a map, but it is not necessary. Beautiful view! There is a place to buy water, soda and beer.

Wild cascate in the rainy season. It is quite an experience but one has to be careful with the slippery floor and the steppy paths. Do not miss the canyon (vale das andorinhas) down the stream too! (but it is a bit more difficult)

A deep rocky canion on the Sao Miguel river. A pool with transparent, cold water where you can swim. A small but impressive waterfall a little further. The 4km road from Sao Jorge hamlet is very dusty.

Raizama is definetly one of the most beautiful waterfalls in São Jorge Village. Its entrance has this hippie feel kinda-thing, and you can surelly understand why nature lovers would go there. There is not much structure around. Admissions run at R$10,00 per person (since it's a private property) but the tracks are clean and with proper signs showing the way arround.
Tracks are safe both criminally and natural risks wise.
You can buy some mineral water there, but not much more. One should take own snacks or whatever if considering spending some time there.
Swiming is allowed and safe at some points. I truly recomend visiting.

The trail was well preserved, the atractions were excellent - the view of the Raizama Canyon is impressive. Swimming on the second canyon is such an experience.
