Really nice hidden spot by the river. A lovely place to walk dogs as it's nice and open. The view from the top is lovely, clear view over Bodelwyddan. A few nice benches too for a little sit down and picnic

There is a lovely walk from Rhuddlan village to Twthill and back around past the caravan park. Historic area with information boards explaining the past. Lovely views from the top of the Hill.

A nice walk from the Castle through a shady path leads you to this giant hill which once housed a castle. The views are stunning and you can see 360 degrees. It is free and the hill has a delightful breeze.

To describe this as very good is stretching the point a little, but it is interesting and above average. The mound is man made, and all that remains of the castle that stood here nearly a 1000 years ago. The information board gives an insight into its use back in the day, as does the broken sledge give an insight into what the local children would use it for when there's snow on the ground today. Just one word of caution, the path leading to the mound, and the mound itself, get very muddy in winter.…
