Loved this castle....we sat in the keep and had a picnic. The views are great and the castle is well situated. Small car park and gift shop but well worth a little visit. You can also climb to the top.

This castle was a fine ruin and in much better condition than Flint and I could climb up one of the towers and walk part of the walls still standing. Great views all round across the countryside. I loved the sight of a row of sheep running along the canal nearby.

We really enjoyed our short visit to the castle. It's good that are done spiral staircases to go to the top and enjoy the view too. Lovely gift shop. Lots of place to sit with a picnic while the kids explore, or just run around to blow off some steam.

The staff in the gift shop were very friendly and the grounds of the castle were kept really tidy, we thoroughly enjoyed exploring this castle.
