An interesting modern take on a Celtic cross. The shaft of the cross looks like dotted rays leading up to the sun like cross. Next to the cross is information panels giving the design and engineering background of the sculpture. Those with an interest in architecture and engineering will find it interesting. Worth a detour when in Saltash.

This place where this stands is clean & tidy. Great for photos & has a bit of grassy space for the kids to picnic & play.

What's the point of this cross. Just a waste of tax paying money. As you drive by it, you'll blink and miss it. It's that pointless

It’s a nice monument in terms of looks and aesthetic values but it’s completely out the way with no obvious access routes and doesn’t really have any meaning, overall it might be worth to look at and take photos but other than that there isn’t anything to do at all...

A nice idea but why put it in a place that it can not be seen and is hard to visit?
It looks good but what does it do?

I lived in Saltash and a lot was talked about the construction of the Celtic cross. In my opinion it is underwhelming. It can be seen from areas of Saltash Passage but as you approach Saltash over the Tamar Bridge most of the Cross is obliterated by trees. Don't bother to make a special trip to see it.

Takes a drivers eye away from the wheel - be warned! Very well thought out and constructed with Cornish symbolism

WHO WAS PUT IN CHARGE OF FINDING A PLACE TO PUT THE CROSS.As you drive from Plymouth to Cornwall you just don't see it till you are on it.Shorley with such a great piece of work like this all should be able to see it. Such a shame.
