We went to Castello di Vigoleno to celebrate my mom's 80th birthday. We were looking for an elegant restaurant, one that could also serve good local cuisine. We were not disappointed. We were given the best table in the house in a soothingly lighted room....More

Nice old castle and medieval houses with really beautiful views from tower. I'm recommending to visit a church and see interior. Entrance is free, but light will cost you.

Situated near Piacenza, this superb castle deserves a visit, because in addition to its beautiful state of preservation is situated in a vinicola area of excellence. Enjoy a taste of the local sparkling wine in the enoteca just in front of the main entrance and...More

If you're in the area drop in and walk around this pretty little castle. The views are the castle are stunning. Check the opening times of the tower as on weekdays during the summer the tower does not open until 2.00pm.

How fun it this! A classic castle in beautiful condition. We were the only ones there on the day of our visit, which left us free to wander around and imagine life in medieval times. One of the three restaurants was open for lunch, which...More

This town will bring you back to the middle age and the hole town is very good preserved. You can also find a very nice taverna there, Taverna al Castillo - try it!

Really enjoyed our visit - modest climb up the tower and great views of the castle and beyond. Picturesque countryside of the area. Staff were friendly. Our daughter enjoyed the slide and swings around the back in the courtyard.
