Very pleasant afternoon stroll. Beautiful scenery with plenty of wildlife on view. I would recommend wearing good walking shoes or boots as the ground is uneven for much of the time.

Oare Marshes where many wetland birds are seen. The road there is a single lane road with limited parking which was pretty busy with Bird Watchers set up along the road with their Spotting Scopes. We found a parking space and went for a short...More

Great place to spend a couple of hours whether you're into wildlife or not. Free parking and good footpaths, just be prepared for strong breezes.

This coastal nature reserve has a small car park, if that's full, then it's a case of returning to the top of the road to park. Although we were there just for a walk, there were many birdwatchers and plenty of birds to see and...More

Oare Marshes is a great nature reserve to visit in summer with plenty of butterflies, dragonflies and of course birds. When we visited last week on an exceptionally hot day there was some relief from the heat walking along the sea wall in the breeze....More

This Kent Wildlife Trust reserve is just outside Faversham in Kent. The last bit of the drive in is along narrow bumpy roads but it is well worth it. If you are a birder, then this is for you. Loads of birds and often very...More

A lovely place for a short circular walk of 1 to 3 miles, by the sea and amongst some stunning scenery and bird like. Popular with walkers, dog walkers and birders alike, just a relaxing place to visit and spend time.

Very beautiful place to wander around on a sunny Sunday morning! We are not birdwatchers but there were plenty there enjoying the reserve. The only issue was the very narrow road to get there and not much parking. It's not very well signposted so I...More

I would look at the Kent Ornithological Society website which gives you details of recent bird sightings. A pair of pintails were observed on October 23rd 2017, but as with all bird watching it is the time of day and the... More
