Very moving experience in this beautiful place. We visited the cemetery after staying in Caen and on our way to Juno Beach. We stayed for 45 minutes. Handsomely located in the countryside and ample parking for buses and cars.

n extremely moving and sobering experience visiting the graves of approximately 2000 Canadian soldiers who lost their lives for our freedom. Despite the well cared for gardens and breathtaking view of the Normandy coastline, your attention is held by the ages listed on each gravestone, a harrowing reminder of how young these men were when they enlisted to fight for freedom…

They did a great job maintain this peaceful place. The large Canadian flag on the parking lot is a very nice touch.

On our way to Juno Beach, our tour group visited this beautiful cemetery. It was very emotional to walk among the 2,000 plus graves of our young Canadian soldiers who gave their lives in order to preserve our freedoms. The graves are meticulously tended, maple trees and flowers adding to the overall layout. Very sad, but incredibly uplifting at the same time.
