I am always fascinated by these and to see this one located just out of the town walls on the way to the parking staggered me. Its pretty well preserved and definitely worth a look.

Always interesting visiting the various ruins of Italy. They have done a good job uncovering and preserving this beautiful piece of history. I recommend visiting this Roman Bath and theater and letting yourself go back in time.

Very interesting remains of a Roman bath and theater. We bought the combo ticket for €16 per person that covers four sites.

Beautiful and well preserved. A great little piece of history on the edge of Volterra. Love the informational posts along the way.

Others are correct the view from high up on the road is great. BUT being inside and walking the area gives a up close view into history. TIP: If your going to be in Volterra for a few days you should buy the Volterra Card....More

The Teatro Romano was not open the first week of December. The view from the street above was really good. After seeing the view from above the grounds, I would not have paid for an entrance free if it were open.

We did not buy any ticket to go inside since the view from the street above itself was good. We do not get to go too close even if we buy the ticket. And after seeing Pompeii, no other excavation will impress you. The entry...More

A lovely place to visit but expensive to enter. Best to see it from the road rather than enter. A place worth visiting in Volterra.

The ruins are enclosed next to a parking lot and road. They are pretty, but not in the best shape. We opted to just view them from the road below and above, it really did not seem worth the admission price to go in.

We looked at this theater from the road above, which gives you a spectacular view! Very nice... you can get multiple views from the road, too.
