Beautiful beach and a very cool old town with lots of little alley ways to meander thru. It is very apparent that they don’t want outsiders to know about there little piece of paradise. While some establishments were very welcoming others not so much.
White sandy beach with stuning panorama and clear clean beaches. Really!! You can see fishes swimming around you. Great bars and alot of restaurants and shops. Its a place I called unforgetable. Perfect for family vacation.

Tropea was amazing, good food, magnificent views an beaches, although it was the second half of September, the historic center was animated in the evening. Constant temperatures, about 28 degrees daytime and around 23-24 at night.

The old city is nice but the rest isn't very organized and clean.
Many restaurants and terraces.
Red onion and red hot pepper are typical products for this area.

There are not only boat trips along the coast, but also day trips and multi-stop trips to Stromboli and the other Aeolian islands. I recommend to spend at least one night in Stromboli and maybe also a day in Vulcano.
Yes, I agree. May is very nice in Tropea, so I would at least plan for the end of April (or May if you can). April things like the beach will still be closed and some stores will not yet be open. The weather won't be cold... More
