You can almost still hear the roar of gladiators and lions here... Apparently the inspiration for the Colosseum in Rome (though I'm not sure of the truth of that) this is the 3rd largest ampitheatre in Italy, and it really is a breath-taking feat of...More

Myself and my husband went here and it was amazing, full of History. Very cheap to get. Excellent views of everywhere. Pozzuoli is not overcrowded so we felt very comfortable in the heat as well walking around. Everything you see is the way it is...More

Another interesting site included in the multi site ticket with Baia. Supposedly the biggest amphitheatre. Beautifully preserved. Quiet when we visited. Parked in the nearby public car park but if you buy the Campania Artecard you can get there by train.

Lovely and very cheap. It costs 4 euros to get in, but as we had been to Cuma Archeological Park the day before it was free on the same ticket. It's quite small - just the amphitheatre there so it doesn't take long to visit....More

Visited on a Saturday afternoon. Parking was found nearby (lucky?) and the price of admission was reasonable. A large and very well preserved amphitheater. These types of ruins can be an acquired taste but it's hard not to appreciate the effort that went into constructing...More

The people were pleasantly nice and explained some of the History of this Amphitheater. They seemed more intrigue about where we were from, but nothing compares to their over 2000 years of History in the region.

We were staying literally 1minute from here & came on our first day. Only €4 each, so well worth a visit. Discovered it is the 3rd largest Roman amphitheatre left. The underground section is amazing! You can’t help but think back to what would have...More

The Metro Line 2 (at Piazza Garibaldi or Piazza Cavour). It brings you on the upper side of Pozzuoli, just on the back of the amphitheater. With the ticket of the amphitheater you can visit three other site (Baths of Baia... More
