I don't have visit the island of Palmaria, but if you have time, vistit the quite and peaceful island, I know that there is the grotto of Columbus, inhabited since prehistoric times.

It is well worth hiring a small boat to explore the islands. Lots to see and great places to swim. The RIBs are 80 Euro for 2 hours.

Formally a military installation there is still some areas of the island that are off limits but the rest of it is beautiful. The walking is largely on tracks with good footing.
