More
Since 1972 the estate has been owned by renowned entrepreneur Angelo Jacorossi, renowned entrepreneurs. Talosa was one of the first wineries in Montepulciano to undertake the quest for fine quality which brought this appellation to the heights of Tuscan and Italian winemaking. The main ageing cellar is in the old town centre of Montepulciano, in an underground area between two of the oldest buildings called Palazzo Tarugi e Palazzo Sinatti. He Talosa Cellar date back to the 16th century and visiting them is like stepping back time. The brick passageways contain a series of vaults and niches where the barrels are placed. Visitors to this magical place automatically assume an air of respect or even reverence for the force of history pulsating these walls. The winery applies this same respect and reverence to cultivation of the vineyards and production of the quality wines.

This is a place you should visit when in Montepulciano. You can easily miss the entrance if you are not aware of the presence of the cellar underneath the building. The wine shop offers a great choice in Tuscan wines and grappa.

This place has great tour, great people, great wine, great education, good toilets. The price was fair considering they also provided 5 small glasses of wine, water cheese, meat and a good education at each step. The toilets were close by and in good condition.

We stopped in during a light rain for a pre-dinner tasting. The 'tasting' bar and small tables were full, so we took a self-guided tour of the cellar and Etruscan tomb. The journey down to the tomb through the cellar was worth the visit. When...More

A great afternoon well spent on Montepulciano. There, not only did we learn a lot about wines but also about history, culture, life. Andrea gave us a peace of mind we rarely get in our rushed lives.

A must see winery in Montelpuciano. Andre is an incredibly informed tour guide and delightful company to boot. We could not be more pleased or impressed.

You can visit the beautiful underground cellar for free and than taste the wines. My favorite was the Talosa Nobile de Montepulciano Riserva.
