Not only a treasure for Ferrara, but one of the most unusual well thought buildings I’ve ever seen. Inside no.... Outside yes.

Just found at the end of our day, but staff let us visit and we managed to get round all the rooms at whistle stop pace.So much to see but would't have missed it.

The diamond palace is a peculiar and beautiful building. Located away from the downtown crowd is a sight to see

We ended out Ferrara visit at the Palazzo dei Diamante. Before seeing it in person, I had assumed that the diamond exterior was tilework, rather than an embossed pattern. The courtyard was restful and offered park benches.

You gotta purchase tickets when you enter and sometimes there will be a queue, but then again a good visit in Emilia-Romagna region this is! :)

I know other diamond buildings - the prismatic ornaments of their facades - but this one is certainly one the most imposing and well preserved.
