Certainly this looks like a Greek temple at first glance, but the cross atop is the giveaway.Impressive façade and pleasant interior (not overly ornate).

This small town located in the middle of Portfino and Cinque Terre is one of the loveliest ones in Liguria. Very handy and convenient, in terms of train/ferry journeys. An ideal base to visit famous sightseeing sites from here.

I took my friends to their first cathedral experience here and when we arrived...closed! Not to worry, though. It was the normal mid-day closing and gave us time for some espresso and to relax before the massive doors were swung open and we could enter....More

doesn't look like a cathedral from the outside more like a Greek facade at the front ceiling under repair but quite nice inside

It doesn't look much from the outside but it's beautiful on the inside. Make sure you cover up as it is a place of worship. It's open feom 6.45 am till noon then 3.30 till 6 from memory. Definitely worth a visit.

What an impressive exterior combined with an absolutely ornate interior. Do not wear shorts or anything else not appropriate.

Inside the prevailing style is baroque with rich decorations but not overpowering, a surprising pleasant discovery!

This church is well worth a visit. The facade is beautiful and the fact that Pope John Paul II visited and has a statue in his honour has been erected outside made it very special - as he is now a Saint.

A very striking exterior with easy access. We did not go inside but it was part of a lovely Sunday afternoon walk.
