WHen you visit the castello, these are the two main attraction. You can learn a lot about the weapons - Brescia was famous for good weapon making - and the museum offer a lot. The Risorgimento Museum is like in any other Italian city.

If you're in Brescia, make some time and visit this Museum. Well kept and very organised. One can appreciate the collection of different old weapons used in the 16th and 17th century.

Lots of armour, helmets, swords and other weapons. Perhaps rather boringly laid out and distinct lack of any English or other language explanations. If you've got as far as walking all the way up to the castle then you might as well see it.

If you like to see some interesting piece of medioeval weaponery, the Brescia castle museum is a must see.

After about an hour one gets tired of seeing racks and racks of armour but it's still pretty spectacular and extensive. Very well managed and full of information. The lack of English signage, however, was a bit off putting for us, but we managed to...More
