As the title suggests, we walked from the town and up the narrow streets to the castle. Interesting yet exhausting. The climb was worthwhile as the castle itself was fascinating and the view from the ramparts spectacular. On the day of our arrival the town...More

There are a lot of steps to get to the top but well worth it as the views are stunning , we stopped just before the top where there was a beautiful bar (near a car Park)

Really appreciated the fact that the essential parts of the castle are basically a public park. You can walk all the way up and enjoy the view, the beautifully preserved ramparts, tower, draw bridge etc even after hours when the museums housed on the compound...More

It's looks good from a distance but very steep path up and it was closed when I got there, and I suppose all the museum's too, so I would check first before you go

I was glad I chose to stop by Brescia by train before my arrival in Vicenza. The castle is located about 30 mins on foot by the train station and it's worth visiting! The pictures dont really do justice.
