Great place to spend the holiday. Good water to swim and many things to do and see in the region. Beautifull villages such as Bolsena, Orviëto, Monte Fiascone and unesco world herritage towns Pitligiano, Sorano, Sorena and Civita di Bagnoregio. Great restaurants and very nice...More

We arrived right in the middle of a local festival - Corpus Domini 27 March - 3 June. Lucky us, as it made the town lively and festive. Also, there was a brass band

Stopped on our way to Rome. So quite and charming. The place is ideal for a short stay, which is our next trip.

This was an unplanned, unexpected joy. Lago di Bolsena is the town and the lake - "the largest volcanic caldera lake in Italy" as at least five people proudly told us. The town is quiet except in mid-summer (we were there in late September), so...More

Yes the lake is very clean and is an enjoyable place for a swim.. probably better than the local coastline - head to the township of Bolsena. It is an amazing region with plenty to see and do.
