with its two lakes the Avigliana Natural Park makes for excellent walks in the woods, an insight on the lake fauna, lots of water fowl.
walking along the lakes is particularly pleasant when temperatures are very hot, as it's always slightly breezy. you can also enjoy refreshments at the Zanzara café on the banks of the small lake where there's a picnic area.

The lakes are beautiful and so is the park. Strawling here is relaxing although sometimes over ponds because you can;'t enter certain gardens. Downside are the mosquitos...

This is a great way to see the lake up close and without any distractions from cars. The pathway is easy walking but there are some floating pontoon bridges that are not as stable as the land. For most people, they would not be any kind of problem; but if you are unsure, you need to be aware.
The lake is very beautiful and there is a lot of water-based activity; e.g. water skiing, swimming, kayaking and swimming.

The lakes are nice, the small one (natural park) is protected and you cannot do anything there, the walk path is a bit too far to really enjoy it
The big one..almost all private,really a shame
Ok for a short stop

A walk around Lago Grande is 2-3 hours very well spent. An incredibly scenic location surrounded by mountains. The circuit is approximately 3 miles (5k), and has a few gradients, but nothing very steep, and is mainly tracks, a little road, and some floating walkways.
Wildlife is abundant, lots of fish in the clear water, and varied waterfowl. There are also a few bird hides.
If you need refreshment there are both restaurants and bars around the lake, there are also watersports available too.

We stopped by on our way to Sacra di San Michele. We visited the smaller lake. Water was murky and dirty. Full of ducks. We parked the car in car park by the road, walked till we reached a small bay and returned back to the car. The place is good for a walk only if you happen to be in the area and does not merit a visit for its own merits.

If you happen to be in the area a walk around the second lake is nice, not as congested as the first one.

Ciao!!!
