Ivan Bruchi House has 10,000 items covering a span of times and types of items.

Ivan Bruschi founded the Arexxo Antiques Market - and his interests and collection are wide ranging -- and will appeal to eveyone (of all ages).

Plus: the exhbits are not roped off -- so that it is possible to get close-up views.

Worth a visit !

This is a very interesting museum, full of thousands of artifacts from every period of history. Perhaps the most interesting part of the museum is the building itself. Case Bruschi was built nearly 1000 years ago and displays much of the history of Arezzo. Various coats of arms from families that owned it are carved into the facade, as it was once a mint and house of the governing party of Arezzo. Half of the building and the square down the road were bombed out during WWII, leaving a visible scar on the front of the building where the building was rebuilt. Don't forget to stop at the rooftop terrace, with the best view of the unique pillars on the Pieve di Santa Maria.
Would recommend!

We stayed in Arezzo for a few days as part of an Italian tour, our rep suggested this museum if we had a couple of hours free. Its an odd museum but really interesting, a mix-up of collections ranging throughout history, its a refreshing change from stuffy museums. Information sheets available on each floor explaining items.

We only had a few minutes to visit thus place but it was worthwhile. As the title suggests the items inside are quirky in places and are interesting. There's a nice view from the terrace which is worth visiting.

The museums that derive their origin from the mansions of antique or art dealers always have a special quality (among others, in the nearby Florence, the "Bardini Museum" has it). Unlike the ancient private homes, where the works of art and craftsmanship, if there are, are usually in moderate quantities, the antique dealers' homes are generally crowded with valuable objects: they are a bit houses and a bit shops, and their appearance can be defined as "crystallized" at the time when the owner interrupted his activity of buying and selling, and he held for himself the objects to which he was particularly fond.
But the value of this house & museum doesn't end here. It is, in fact, also a home. In my eyes this was particularly evident when I looked at the book shelves: they are typical of the library of an Italian intellectual of the second half of the twentieth century. So they look familiar to me, as I belong to the same category: I have breathed a "home" air here.
Then let's consider, of course, the value of the rich collections of works of art and crafts, displayed in a wise and pleasant way, so as to allow a full appreciation of them. Since the house is that of Ivan Bruschi, founder (in 1968) of the Arezzo antique fair, held in the nearby "Piazza Grande" every first Sunday of the month (currently the most renowned in Italy), the objects on display can not be trivial or bad taste.
For all these reasons this house & museum is a considerable gem, recently (2002) added to the Arezzo heritage,

We were lucky enough to be in Arezzo on the 1st Sunday of the month in January 2016 and were able to visit the singular private gallery of Ivan Bruschi, the antiquarian and art collector who first promoted the famous monthly Arezzo Antiquarian market. Check the site for special openings as it's worth a visit.

Ssshhh! Don't tell just anyone about this treasure. It's the ideal place to spend a couple of hours with a dear friend or lover, wandering around the home of an avid collector and taking in his remarkably wide-ranging - but always quality - collection of art, objects and furniture. Bruschi founded Arezzo's Antique Market in 1968, died in 1996 and left us a delightful gift.
