About
We’ve always been here, on the Chianti slopes of Arezzo, in the land of Tuscany, at Villa La Ripa, a Renaissance villa not far from Florence and Sienna. Olive groves and vineyards all around us with their precious oil and wine: Sangiovese, Tiratari, Psyco, Spaziolibero.Rows and rows of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz are well cared for with love and passion with respect for nature and environmental sustainability. The countryside is unique as it has remained unaltered for ages and deserves to be discovered, enjoyed and… tasted. It is recommended to all the lovers of wine tourism for unforgettable visits at the winery.

I highly recommend the Tour at Villa La Ripa. My son and I had an incredible tour with Claudia. She was a lovely, generous host, her family's wines are superb, and the views, cellar, vineyard and gardens are so beautiful. We loved every moment, took a million photos and learned so much about her family's wine. Such an interesting story. Tour was well worth what we paid. Although remote, it was easy to get to from the train station in Arezzo, and Claudia was kind enough to call us a cab once the tour ended. It was perfecto; a memorable experience. In addition to the amazing wine and beautiful countryside, we also enjoyed tasting their olive oil and sampling Villa La Ripa's skin cream filled with antioxidants; an added benefit we didn't expect! Thank you Claudia for your hospitality and this unforgettable experience. We didn't want it to end!

Thanks so much for visiting us. It was a pleasure to meet you at Villa La Ripa. So happy you appreciate the tour of the cellar, and the vineyards and you like the wines and the extravirgin olive oil you tasted with me. A very quick tour of the winery followed by an hour sale pitch in a small room. I was quite disappointed. Went to way better tours in the Chianti region

I was surprised by your evaluation of our tour. We really try every day to transmit to visitors the passion we put in the production of our wines. We start the tour with a welcome glass of wine; then tour of the cellar where we explain the production method. Finally we do a walking throw the vineyards and we explain the different type of vineyards we have around our winery; so we arrive in front of the Renaissance Villa where we explain that the Villa was built in 1558 by Raffaello Gualtieri. The Luzzi family bought it in 1992 and restored it for 10 years bringing it back to its ancient splendors . So we start the wine tasting : we propose 3 different wines (1 Rosé or white wine and then 2 reds wines) paired with a selected goat cheese, a quality Parmesan cheese and Tuscany bread with our award-winning extra virgin olive oil. The tasting room is not small (4 meters per 10) and it was originally the old cellar where we started to produce wine 20 years ago. The room today is used as a tasting room and at the bottom there are our french barrels . So again I'm surprised of your notes. It looks like you describe another tasting and another room! Looking forward to having you again here for a true Villa La Ripa wine tasting!

The winery was beautiful, the tour guide was well informed and gracious, the wine and olive oil was superb. We had a tour of the facility and were able to experience the work being done during harvesting season. Our guide was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions we had regarding the wine and winery. Don't miss this gem in Arezzo!

Thanks so much for your review. I am really happy you appreciate the tour and tasting at Villa La Ripa. The harvest season is one of the most most exciting moments of the year. It requires great effort and energy but if you work with head and earth you will have a wonderful result and a great wine. Hope to see you again at Villa La Ripa , best regards. Claudia

We ended up a small group taking this wine tour, and it was really excellent. Our guide was amazing, gave us some interesting history about the castle and the Vineyard. We even got to taste some of the grapes, before we were
walked through a few wines at the tasting. We felt welcomed even though we are not wine connoisseurs, we learned stuff and we had some nice snacks (the Parmesan cheese was definitely a highlight!). All in all just a really lovely time.

Wonderful tour and tasting at this gorgeous vineyard and villa! Our tour was interesting and informative and the views were lovely. Our tasting included cheese, bread and olive oil and was private and comfortable. We really enjoyed the wines and learning about their history.

Thanks so for much for your review. We are very happy you appreciate the tour and the history about Villa la Ripa, an old Renaissance Villa built around a tower 1000 years ago. This place is unique and magic for us. The owner: Dr Luzzi and her wife still live here and produce wine with passion and full respect of nature. Grazie for coming to visit us.

I had a beautiful experience touring and tasting. For the first time in my life I understand what rosé is supposed to truly taste like. I learned so much about Sangiovese and super Tuscan wine surrounded by gorgeous scenery. This family leads with their hearts and you can not only feel but taste that in the wine, olive oil, and ambiance.
