The highlight of the church are its plaster scenes...polished to resemble marble but in finer detail. Yes, a nun accosted us for an offering at the door but did not seem to notice the change we handed her. She did not give us any further...More

Shown around by a nun who loved the place and wanted to share it. You can’t just wander in. They sell sweets as well that they make on site. It is possible to stay in the convent.

The atmosphere that is created in the summer evenings is that of an elegant and charming, thanks to a lighting that enhances the park and the structure of this prestigious period residence.

Ancient Roman church, in the harmonious simplicity of its structure and of its interior, which exacerbate the mystical character, fits perfectly with the places and the buildings that surround it, and is topped by a bell tower and an imposing Romanesque tower dating to 1282.

The monastery façade on approach is quite attractive, topped by a belfry. One of the resident nuns kindly gave us an informative tour of the Serpotta decorated church. She said there are now nine nuns in the congregation including a number in the young age...More

We found this convent by chance , and it was indeed a fortunate one : beautiful abbey , well restored and maintained , with interesting exibitions and a wonderful , light architecture .
