I stayed for a 11 day/10 nights fitness and health programm, and overall the stay exceeded my expectations. Since I had never done anything like this, I emailed a number of resorts on Koh Samui beforehand, and Orion was the only one which gave me the feeling they had actually read my email and knew what I was looking for. Big plus for me that it was not all about detox and healing, but that they cater for different needs. My personal focus was on healthy eating and fitness/exercise, and for both I have to give full marks. Daily morning Yoga sessions overlooking the beach and ocean, excellent fitness program with a great personal trainer, regular massages, and all that coupled with an extensive range of fantastic healthy food really did wonder for body and soul. And it certainly helped that it is really a beautiful resort in a perfect location. I had the added advantage that it was extremely quiet and peaceful on Koh Samui and within the resort, since all borders are currently closed. Now is really the perfect time for anybody based in Bangkok to take advantage of this and head to Koh Samui for a break. Nevertheless, for the sake of anybody working in the tourism industry in Thailand, I hope that business picks up again soon. I am a New York-based person who lived for 30 years a very busy, intense life that eventually got the best out of me. I got seriously sick and entered a long challenging time. In one of the darkest moments, I decided to do a detox at Orion, mainly to shed burdening pounds that were making me sluggish, tired, and clearly on a path for serious worsening of my health.It was a great experience from the start, the first impact was exactly what I hoped with a result of rejuvenation and conquering better shape. The place and the people working there became a sort of extended family there. I went back 3 consecutive years, every time leaving with a better feeling and a visible increasing status of health and fitness. Though after every visit, I was growing the confidence that Reiki treatments were leaving a positive impact on my quality of energy and shifting my approach with life in general. This 3 years-long process eventually has led me to finally take part in a 2 weeks long Reiki training completing all the Levels with Simon Belcher, who by now has an important key role if today i am in a much healthier place. I cannot express enough gratitude for discovering Orion and the great people running it. If anyone wants to figure out a different way of life and is in need to change him/herself I can with a lot of evidence suggest Orion Healing Center in Kho Samui. Absolutely amazing experience at Orion. Perfect setting for a detox retreat. On a very peaceful part of the island. Beautiful beach with lovely sunsets. I upgraded to the beachfront bungalow, highly recommended. Waking up to those views and being only steps away from the beach. Nice clean and comfy rooms with a proper oriental vibe to them. The resort itself was so beautiful. I think my favourite part was the beachfront yoga shala with the buddha sculpture. I took many a photo with that in the background. I did the 12 day Burnout package. Great value for money. The schedule was really well thought / planned out. I was very impressed. I wouldnt have changed anything about it. All the staff were incredible, super helpful, friendly and always on hand to ensure I was doing ok on my detox. Big shout out to Simon, what a guy. Really good to connect with him and learn from his wisdom. He really knows his stuff when it comes to the energy healing sessions. Although I only ate raw food there, for a few days as i was fasting most of the time, the food was incredible and massive selection of lovely juices. I felt really well looked after at Orion and I am so glad i did this for myself. Money very well spent. I would highly recommend this to anyone and everyone, whether you are looking to detox or just spend some time relaxing. I can't wait to come back some time :-)…

We came because the retreat promised relaxation, peace and quietness. The retreat, bungalows, breakfast, yoga, pool, beach and staff is all very (!) beautiful... ... BUT: 1) we arrived on a Sunday and the whole bay was full of loud music and we learned that the other beach club has a (loud) party every Sunday the whole day, 2) there were lots of day tourists, mostly Russian families, who entered the beach just in front of our bungalow, they used the beach beds, the pool, facilities and were running through the whole resort - and the staff of the resort accepted this, even without paying for except just buying one pizza for 10 people from the restaurant. Both was really annoying to us and to other guests and it spoilt us our last days of a 6 weeks trip. If you want something really peaceful and quiet without (Russian) day tourists entering the resort, you should try to find another place - in case that is possible at all on Ko Samui...…
