We went to a music concert in the abbey and it was exquisite. The nearby walks are also very pleasant but it does get quite busy.

We were having lunch at one of the restaurants within the park so took the time before hand to have a wander around. Beautiful country park and Abbey. A few cafes dotted around for a coffee or gelato. All very nice and scenic. Great architecture too. Well worth a visit

Unfortunately this abbey was completely destroyed in WWII. It was very good rebuild. Interesting place to see. Not too far from Napoli. Beautiful view.

We visited a few times over the summer. Weekdays are a great time to explore the trails through the park grounds as they are relatively quiet and peaceful. Paths are mostly flat and easy-going, unless you head off into the woods. Weekends can be very busy with local Italian families picnicking and exploring. It adds a nice buzzy atmosphere to the place but patience may be required to pass slow walkers. The church and cloisters are worth a visit inside too.

It's a kind of 'compex', with a restored monastery and church, extensive grounds and a couple of cafes and restaurants. The monastery has been sensitively renovated and conveys a good sense of what monastic life was like. I found the church particularly evocative - stark and with a strong spirit of place. Walks of various lengths are available and while we only took a gentle stroll along a woodland path, it's possible to do an eleven kilometre round trip. Apparently, this place is popular with families and can get very busy at weekends, but it was lovely and quiet on a September weekday and we enjoyed the visit very much.

Dear visitor, thanks a lot for your review. We are pleased to read your opinion on our site. Actually the whole area is very suggestive and suitable for every age. Our aim is to preserve both the abbey and the wood around it. Best regards, Francesca
