Beautiful
May 2021 • Family
Beautiful clean beach with amazing views. Toilets nearby that were clean and nice shops and restaurants in the area. Gorgeous fish and chip shop opposite the beach but we queued over an hour for them bank holiday weekend.

There are only a couple of car parks so at busy times go early or late.

Clean beach
Apr 2021 • Couples
Aberdyfi is one of the cleanest beaches I have ever visited. No plastics, no netting, nothing, just an old car drifted over by the tide years ago. Lovely views in all directions. And a nice quiet flat walk towards Tywyn is nice too. Spot the petrified tree stumps along the way.

Crabbing!!!
May 2020
I'll leave the place/beach/shops/amenities reviews to others, but as a family, we have been here for 3 generations, staying at a farm nearby since I was a kid, and the highlight was always CRABBING from the pier.

All you need for hours of entertainment/frustration is a reel of cord (easily available) and any sort of meat/fish (also easily available) and off you go. Oh, and a bucket with seawater in it.

You are partially relying on the tide, but almost all of the time, you'll drop your cord & 'food' into the water, let it go to the seabed (ish), wait, then pull it up slowly to see what you've got!

It's fun for kids & adults!

And Aberdovey is lovely, too.

The beach between Aberdyfi and Tywyn is five miles of golden sand. It’s clean and great for families. The sunsets are beautiful.

Up There With the Best

Superb vast beach which can be walked all the way to Tywyn. We walked half way and is usual the further from the towns the more remote it becomes. Outstanding.

So much for caring
Oct 2020 • Couples
Opposite the beach is a small shop that entitles itself as a pharmacy.
I went into the store to ask if I could buy a mask as I didn't have one.
Understandably the the pharmacist said, really without thinking, you can't come in without a mask.
I offered to buy one, £3, I proffered my contract less card only to be told there was a £10 minimum.
Should I use cash or should I leave without a mask? Either way I could unwittingly spread the virus.
This pharmacist, did he have the good of the populous in mind or profit?
All I did was for the good of all only to be shown how the small number of people are willing to look after themselves.
Thank God for the real carers of the NHS,

Stunning

Fabulous beach and a great little village/town with all the facilities needed.

As the tide goes out more and more of this stunning beach is revealed. Wonderful.

Just what was needed

We were not sure what to expect, glorious little beach on a sunny Wednesday. A handful of shops and a fish and chip shop that I would recommend whilst you listen to the sea

My favourite beach
Sep 2020 • Couples
A beautiful beach attached to the picturesque Aberdovey. One part is dog free and the other dog friendly. There is a ĺarge carpark adjacent and it fronts the terrace road with many interesting shops and places to eat.

It is a pity that a decision some years ago to modify the sea frontage, means that the sand has blown onto the promenade, making it difficult for pushchairs and wheelchairs, and the sand is encroaching into the carpark?
