Really lovely day out! We went along and there were 11 people in total on the tour including the guide which was a good amount. The tour is in Spanish, you are able to have an English audio description for 3 euros which I would recommend.
The tour was 90mins, I felt like this was a good amount of time, the guide took photos throughout which were available for purchase at the end. For us it’s was 2 euros for all the photos taken which were emailed to myself.
The geode was so beautiful- although only a small part of the tour was the geode the rest was interesting.

English visitors have to pay extra for the headsets because the tour guide only speaks Spanish, the audio guide has 23 stops on it which match up to the stops on the tour, however the guide rushes past the stops so you are constantly trying to catch up, so it makes the tour a bit confusing at times. The Spanish visitors get a better deal for their money than the non Spanish speaking visitors. The show stopping photo at the end is actually a photo of your bum, and you pay extra for the privilege

We visited the Geoda as family of 3. Myself, my husband and our 11 year old son. The visit can only be booked online, you can not book the tickets at the ticket office! Believe it or not! That would be too easy.

The tour guide is Spanish, but for English speaking visitors you can get an audio guide…… for €3 per person!

The tour tells the brief history of the mine. However the Spanish tour guide seems to give a lot more detail to the Spanish visitors. There were many times that we were waiting for a few minutes while the Spanish guide give complete details to the Spanish visitors.

The whole tour took around 1 hour 30 minutes. However I felt disappointed that you only get to look at the actual Geoda for around 30 seconds. The brief glance is through a small opening, each family at a time.

You will not get the fantastic picture like the one advertised on the brochure. The pictures you receive will be from the tour guide taking them on her phone, even though you are not allowed to take pictures on your own phone! You will be charged €3 for the worst most unflattering photos. This was really disappointing.

In summary. The history of the mine is amazing but the tour is very average, especially for English speaking guests. The English information is limited, the booking process is not the easiest, and the time spent in the Geoda istself is very brief.

Could be improved by using an actual English speaking guide, or providing more detail to the English audio. Allowing more time per guest to see inside of the main attraction and by using professional photography if you are charging for the pictures!

Pleased to say that I have seen it but would not visit again. Requires improvement to justify the price.

We travelled from the Netherlands to Pulpì for the geoda. It was not easy to pre order tickets because the website is only in Spanish. The tour was 1,5 hour through the mine. At literally Every single meter we stopped and the guide gave information about the mine. When we finally arrived at the geode, we had only 15 seconds a person to look in the geode. Then the turned off te light so the next person could take a very brief look! It was not allowed to take pictures at all during the entire tour. The guide took pictures with her phone and we had to pay for the pictures. Like we are the moneymachine here.. obviously.. if we had a little more time te see what we came for, an hadn't stopped a houdred times in the mine, we would have seen what we have travelled thousands of miles for too see..

We arrived for the tour as a group of 4 along with 6 Spanish people. The guide although could speak English spoke only in Spanish & in English to answer a question. The safety aspect of wearing the helmet & going down to the Geoda was only spoken in Spanish therefore we had no idea of an emergency procedure at all. We bought audio equipment for translation into English €3 that wasn’t very good, one of our party’s audio failed to work so she had to share which wasn’t ideal as we were walking (she was refunded the €3 at the end of the tour which was pretty pointless) The audio points ranged from 1-22 these were randomly met as we walked along, there was no guidance from the tour guide advising us where we were, everything was spoken in Spanish. The uv light the guide shon on the rocks was pretty amazing as were the crystals at the final stop.
The Geoda is advertised for all to see saying how spectacular it is, certain parts are worth seeing but what they don’t say is if you don’t speak/understand Spanish it’s pretty disappointing.
We were disappointed in the tour & were pleased we had got our tickets at a discounted rate being resident.

Really good tour of the Mina Rica. Manuel our guide was very knowledgeable, passionate and also spoke very good English. We opted for the audio guide as Spanish isn’t our first language but unfortunately the headphones broke 10 minutes into the tour, so I’d recommend taking your own if you want the audio guide! The Geode itself was absolutely beautiful. I’d really recommend the upsale of the Sala Negra tickets, we went to see this exhibition after the tour and it was awesome.

A great discovery. We loved visiting La Geoda de Pulpí, upon arrival we found very good access to the place with its own parking, a large outdoor waiting area and they have a lot of land to continue growing. Once inside the mine, our guide was Manuel, friendly and clear in his explanations, we, who have no knowledge of geology, learned a lot with him. We enjoyed all the amazing galleries, and as a final culmination we visited the Pulpí geode. A unique experience, highly recommended.

We really enjoyed the visit at the Mina Rica mine where the tour takes 1,5 hours. Our guide, Laura, was really helpful and she knew everything about mining and minerals. After the visit to the mine, don’t miss the visit to the castle with an inside virtual reality visit to the geoda. It really complements the visit to the mine. I highly recommend the experience and the beaches nearby.

Lovely day out really easy to find
Staff really friendly. Marisol in particular was really helpful
They provide audio guides for non Spanish speakers for €3 and we were quite happy pottering along listening to an abbreviated version of the guided tour
Quite a lot of steps at the end but don’t let that put you off seeing the highlight of the trip
It is the 2nd biggest Geoda in the world of a crystalline formation. Not as big as I thought but then nature plays a part in that but it looks like the surface of a comet
Good afternoon out but very quickly booked up and need to book ahead online

What a terrific experience & some of the nicest staff you can imagine; especially when you are a 73 yr pld faced with a 150step vertical spiral staircase.
The only drawback is that the tour is all in Spanish & is obviously fare more detailed than the audio-guide at 3€. Within the mine there is signage in English.
The tunnels are well lit with gravel floors. Not in the slightest claustrophobic.
You squirm to look.into the geode itself & no photos are permitted.
So glad we managed this tour although needed a Spanish friend to book for us.
The ticket also permits a visit to the Castle at no extra charge.
Thoroughly recommend.
Look at Wikipedia for full details.
