We visited on a beautiful weekend in mid-October and were most impressed by these delightful National Trust gardens. Although perhaps not the best year for autumnal colours, the vistas around the lakes were nevertheless stunning. I used to visit Sheffield Park as a child and...More

We were in New England two weeks ago and saw some incredible Autumn foliage, especially in beautiful Vermont. People travel thousands of miles to see it. Right here in a little corner of Sussex is this amazing place which, once a year if you're lucky,...More

The trees were beautiful and so many different types. Getting into the garden was very well organised, considering the garden was so busy. Unfortunately the cafe was struggling to cope and very very busy and a rather poor choice.

Our third visit to these beautiful Gardens ... and our first particularly seeking those AUTUMN COLOURS. They did not disappoint today at all. It was a perfect Autumn Day with clear blue skies and we arrived at about 3pm to see the colours as the...More

This is certainly the time of year to visit. A bit like Boston U.S.A but on a much smaller scale. Nevertheless beautiful gardens and setting with lush colours and lovely walks.

Lunch didn’t happen as cafe is far to small to accommodate the amount of visitors and the queue was nearly out the door . If you would like food or a drink during your day out don’t bother coming here unless you bring your own...More
