This was a nice station, very modern with nice shops inside. The history of how it came to be is the most interesting part.

Modern and clean the central station has many good stalls with sit down tables. We ate at a grilled cheese place called Melt. Wonderful sandwiches. The train station has many food options and a couple of floors so look around. The only bad thing is...More

We had several drinks, and a lunch at various places in the Station complex. Very clean venue, with lots of types of food and drinks available, either sit down or take away.

There seems to be only one toilet with one payment terminal so the queue is long and 20 Norwegian kroner is extortionate though fairly standard in Oslo. Apart from that the station is clean and easy to navigate.

Train from Myrdal made a final stop at the Oslo Central Station, largest in Norway. There are three buildings making up the station with the refurbished Ostbanehallen consisting of many restaurants, fast food outlets and stores. Convenient access to trams and hotels at the doorstep.

We originally just went for a trip to Oslo and ended up eating some lunch here. Such a cool place with different stores and it feels like a marketplace where you can get a lot of different food from different countries. A very nice experience....More

If you have to catch a tram from opposite the station, you have to buy tickets from a shop in the station. People are not very informative.

Felt generally safe in the area, has plenty of shops and restaurants available. a number of hotels nearby too. The Travel Information centre is also at the station which provides maps, good information for travel.

The station is efficient but you will pay a price, even the toilet will cost you $2.5 !!, the ticket counter (booking office) close at 20:00 hrs, most shops closes at 21:00 hrs

I suggest you download the flytoget app. There you can see the time table and purchase tickets electronically. It is extremely easy to use.
