About BMW Group Plant Steyr
The BMW plant in Steyr is the largest engine plant of BMW Group and competence center for diesel engines. 3, 4 and 6 cylinder petrol engines and 3, 4 and 6 cylinder diesel engines for BMW and MINI are developed and built here. The engines are delivered to other BMW Group plants around the world. Plant tours take place Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm after previous booking.

Amazing plant tour with Lynn
We a group of students from Cranfield University, UK visited BMW Steyr around April 2019. We thoroughly enjoyed seeing highest level of automation (with flexibility) in a automotive production plant. Lynn, our contact for the plant tour was very energetic and answered all our questions. She has a thorough knowledge of different parts and associated processes. Very detailed and harvesting business visit
The visit lasted for a couple of hours, covering various business functions and providing a good overview its operations. The visit guide Lynn was really enthusiastic and very knowledgeable about the company.
