Ancient Roman genius
Oct 2021
The ancient Roman villa offers (despite of the few remains) a good idea of the bathing in those times.
Some of the mosaic are still impressive. Part of the ceramic plumbing system are still intact.

The Roman theater was beautifuly restored and offers a very good impression of what it must have been when still in use by the Romans.

Excellent, but you need energy!

Really world class cultural and historic offering, as the archaeologists have stripped back another layer to show new houses and parts of the town (our last visit was 2011). The visitor centre is helpful, and though there is a fair amount of waling it's continually rewarded with new sights, and insights.

Incredible ruins for less than 5 euro
Sep 2021 • Couples
This place is a must for anyone visiting Limassol. Was amazed by the quantity and quality of the ruins here, the mosaic floors are so well preserved and really take your breath away! The amphitheatre has also been excellently restored. All for less than 5 Euro! Its a little difficult to get to by public transport, we ended up getting a taxi for around 15 euro but was totally worth it. Fine if you have a car as there is parking available.

Worth visiting
Sep 2021 • Friends
Well worth a visit. Beautiful setting, well preserved mosaics, informative leaflet & map provided. There's a fair bit of walking so best to visit before it gets too hot, wear a hat & suncream & take a drink. There is a little drink kiosk near the visitor centre.

Breathtaking views and interesting experience.

We went through a very long way by bus to get here but in the end it was absolutely worth it. I highly recommend this to anyone visit Limassol and interested in old architecture. The place requires a short quick visit which is ok since we went in August and it was really hot.

Breath-taking experience
Jul 2021
The area is huge, with one Greco-Roman ruin after another, with the in fact intact-not-ruined ampitheatre the highlight. Entrance is a laughable €4.50.

For those of you not driving, like me, bus 18 brings you here from Limassol.

Watch out that the area is enormous and gets very hot in summer, so plan accordingly.

Back to the late Empire
Jul 2021 • Couples
A very big site shows at its best the usual late roman city, with its first traces of christianism. The most impressive attractions are indeed the ruines of a paleochristian church, the massive roman baths and several wonderful mosaics (the most beautiful in the house of gladiators)

just OK

Well, I'm not saying it's not interesting because it is. However, if you want to visit this place going lots of kilometres on a hot day - it's not worth it. The heat was unbearable and made the visit harder. If the places were air-conditioned or the paths at least shadowed, that would help a million
