Such a fun little place, with a great story and feel. Wonderful for the little ones, or just those young at heart. If you are near Keflavík you should plan to spend an hour here- definitely worth it- even without kids!

Not because of how they taste but as a friend. Her best friend is Sigga, a young girl, who accidentally ran into her in the mountains and introduced her to other humans. Giganta was so grateful because she often felt lonely in the mountains. The Mayor of Reykjanesbær offered Giganta this cave as her home after she saved a small fishing boat in a bad storm a few years ago. She feels very comfortable in her cave because now she meets so many children and they give her their pacifiers (their most precious things) so sh can decorate her cave with them :-)

This attraction was located a few blocks from our guesthouse. It was fun to follow the giant footsteps to the cottage. There is a photo op just outside of the cottage. Inside is the giantess, her bed, furniture, and the pacifier tree where children can leave their pacifiers when they are done with them.

You might spend 10 minutes here, but it is free and fun!

Please take a quick detour to walk through this Giant's Cave. Rich in traditional folklore it is a fun way to experience Icelandic culture.

It was our first stop in Iceland and ok for a short free stop - we went for a walk "above" the cave, before we entered, loved the short stroll.

Saw this while having dinner at Duus Cafe restaurant. Took a walk the next day along the water and around the small harbor (fishing boats and whale watch boats) and found the Giantess' lair. It is quirky, cute and harmless but I do not think I would go again or recommend to others. Time to visit: 5 minutes.

Just next to Keflavik Harbour, is a pathway leading here (closed if the sea is rough, as it is very close by).

This is an interesting amusement, where you can while away 15-30 minutes watching and listening to a sleeping, snoring and farting Giantess!

Everything is giant-sized and gives you something else to do.

Worth visiting with or without children.

Worth a look but wouldn’t go out of my way for it. It’s a small, fun installation in a cave that the kids found amusing, but only for a short while. If you’re in town doing other things it’s worth a look.

The Giantess lives in stone house at the harbour, a short walk away from the Duushus. As soon as we got close to the house we could hear her snoring. She was asleep during our visit. The house has some giant furniture and a tree with babies dummies on. It doesn't take long to see the house, but it's interesting.

A quirky attraction for children that isn't well sign posted and only in Icelandic. We only stumbled upon it by mistake. The sound effects may frighten younger children, but otherwise worth a visit.
