They call this Sunset Boulevard...5 bars/restaurants running vertically up the hill starting from the port. If I'm not mistaken, there's Embassa at the bottom, then as you climb the stairs you get Maestro, then Amorgis, then Frou Frou (specializes in desserts, I believe) and then Koralli at the top (specializes in fresh fish). Each location has a direct view of the sunset, which is absolutely glorious from this angle, with a windmill in the view for that perfect Greek photograph.
Embassa was my favourite place for cocktails on Sunset Boulevard. It played the best music and served a particular ginger cocktail that I ordered multiple times.
But to be honest, your best bet is to arrive at sunset time and grab the best table you can find at any of these places. You really can't go wrong.

Starts out as a great sundowner place (for all us amateurs with our iPhones), and then just keeps going. The locals drop in after dinner and the sound level and laughter pick up. Excellent selection of rum, and the owner plays a truly great soundtrack. It’s just one of those places where location, ambience and clientele come together nicely. Worth a detour, as the pros say.

Nice music and perfect drinks, two required "components" for my entertainment! Elias, the owner of the bar, is always willing to:
1) Give you all information you want about the island
2) Drink a shot with you
3) Play your favorite song

This place is located at the bottom of the steps which form the main strip of evening entertainment for the party animals on this island. I loved this place because it played a slightly more alternative style of music; also going back through the ages too! The music played here is a little less modern so I found it great for my taste!
The owner of this bar is awesome; he gets drunk with the customers and has just as much fun! Great place to go.

We sat here tonight for an hour and a half, perched above the bay, over a couple of cocktails each, watching the sun go down through the windmill (not literally...) over Naxos, about 30 miles distant. Nuts and snacks were brought with the drinks, and the guy serving, whom I suspect owned the place, took time out to chat to us about our various travels. This was such a relaxing time, and we felt valued, and lucky to be able to sit watching such a fabulous scene unfold in front of us. Great service, nice whisky, fabulous aperol spritz, and altogether an excellent hour and a bit.

Most people Island hop in Greece but we stayed two wonderful weeks on Amorgos and after trying most of the bars we just kept coming back to our favorite 'Embassa'!!! Maria is the most friendly and attentive server that you could ask for, plenty of suggestions for cocktails that you might like to try and Elias always willing to experiment and suggest a new one that always pleased. The view of the sun setting over the islands in the distance across the lovely white Greek harbour with the old style windmill was a treat every evening. This bar was certainly one of the highlights of our holiday in Greece - thank you so much Elias and Maria!!

For a pre-dinner beer all the places on Aegiali's 'Sunset Boulevard' are okay, but when it comes to a cocktail or long drink many of them disappoint, with the exception of the 'Embassa', the one furthest down, just up from the hotel Mikes.
Sitting outside on a red painted classical Greek tavern chair and by a table with a round white marble top, all under a canopy, I was facing the sea and the sunset, as everywhere on this well known stretch.
After bad Gin Tonics at two other places here I went for a Negroni, which I hadn't ordered in a long time. A sweet and bitter Italian cocktail, existing since about 100 years, consisting of Gin, Vermouth rosso and Campari. It was served in the right glass with plenty of ice cubes and an orange slice, was strong enough and tasted good. With it came a small bowl of chips and one of nuts, more than in any other bar here. The price with 8 € was reasonable too.

Offering splendid drinks, an incredibly relaxing atmosphere, music that sweeps you off your feet and the best sunsets of Amorgos. The crew is most friendly and creative in finding your special drink.
