A wonderful experience discovering Stockholm on the Ice! We had perfect weather and ice conditions to skate. Our guide, Sven, was super nice and took good care of us. We were also well equipped with safety gear and felt like we were in good hands on the ice. The views of the city were beautiful! This tour is a super fun way to get to know the sport of ice skating on natural ice while seeing the beauty of Sweden - we recommend it to all :)

If you have at least two days in Stockholm you HAVE to check this out... I’d even argue to do so if you’re only here for a day. 1. Incredible guide/staff. Sven was knowledgeable, personable, helpful and just all around a great guy to lead this tour. Easy “in-processing” at the shop in the morning. Even gave me a better pair of gloves than the ones I had. 2. The scenery. If you like nature, you don’t get much more serene than on the Nordic ice- especially as the sun comes up. The weather will undoubtedly be crisp but you keep moving and stay warm. The guides provide a down vest to stay warm at lunch. 3. Swedish culture. Want to visit Sweden like a Swede ... go skating. There will be plenty of other folks - young and old, new and experienced. 4. It’s just downright fun. For context I’ve skated twice previously in my life - on a tiny outdoor rink in Chicago - and despite the lack of experience I had an absolute blast. You will also sleep like a baby that night haha

Even though there was no snow around at the time and the temperature was above zero (which made something like skating seem as an insane idea), it was absolutely worth it! Apparently, the ice was good enough (though it 'talked' with us during skating and I'm not sure it was happy) and we spent a few solid hours gliding over the sky. It was amazing! I love skating and I've been to a few ice rinks but never have I ever experienced anything quite like that. Gliding over the natural frozen waters is something you don't do every day or even every year. As least I don't. In fact, it was my very first time. That's why I'm so glad I found IceGuide and decided to try something outside of a common tourist program in Stockholm. Now I have a unique experience that was built on these guys' years of practice, safe with precautions and thought-through approach. Thanks for the great memory, Joakim!

Great experience! We met at the shop and the guides had packed everything in backpacks, including lunch, hot water for coffee and all safety equipment. After arriving by minibus to Näsby, our guide instructed us in using the safety equipment, and we were ready to go! We skated for 4 - 5 hours between the islands in Skärgården and saw beaver's nests, heard the ice "communicate" and lit a fire for lunch. Highly recommended.
