With the changing of the light outside the painting changes also. That is pure magic. Go there on a partly clouded day to experience it yourself

Wonderfully creative depiction of the shoreline of The Netherlands at the end of the 19th century. You feel as if you are there among the fishing ships of yesteryear, walking among the local townspeople. A gem!

Panorama Mesdag is impressive and relaxing at The same time; almost like looking out over the sea. Worth your while

The size and scope of this undertaking is a tribute to Mesdag’s tenacity and passion. You feel like you’re standing on the beach at Scheveningen in 1881. Incredible experience.

Although I am from The Hague I never took time to visit one of the most famous attractions of my home town. And I must admit it is more impressive than I thought. It felt like I was really standing on the beach.

Panorama Mesdag is a one of a kind museum. I highly recommend it. I went 30+ years ago and was glad to have the opportunity to see it again. You become part of this 360 degree painting in a somewhat disorienting way, but fascinating also....More

This was my third visit to the panorama and it just gets better every time. The guides were outstanding and engaged and enthused a group of tired students who were blown away by the place. Don’t leave The Hague without seeing it!
