Amazing dutch village with ancient windmills all around the place. The best part is that there is no entry fee. You only pay for services you use like washrooms, boat trips etc. Great place to shoot some amazing pictures. Public transport bus is also available...More

A short drive from Rotterdam, parking onsite is 5 EUR. Be sure to stop by the visitor center (ideally before you wander in) and watch the brief film explaining the site. Volunteer Alice did an excellent job answering questions at the center and giving an...More

From our hotel in Rotterdam, we took a mid morning tram and bus (about an hour) to see the windmills. Although the weather was blustery, we thoroughly enjoyed our boat ride to the first windmill stop as the skipper/guide presented great historical background on the...More

I recommend the bicycling tour that makes a big circle around 19 windmills. It was really interesting, the weather was great and our guide was very knowledgeable! We went inside one of the windmills and learned how they work and their function.

We went as part of a river boat cruise. The ship docks just about at the site ( you cross a road built on top of a dike). We had a tour guide and walked to the various windmills and got to go into one...More

We rented our bikes outside, bought online tickets to save 1 euro/head. Basically you can go in to the compound without tickets and it's already nice. But if you're interested to see the inside of the windmills, then get the tickets, it's worth it :)

One of our stops on our river boat cruise, something I always wanted to see. Was alot better than I ever thought it would be. Our tour guide was very informative, knowledgeable, with a bit of humor.

We came here on a Viking cruise. Our guide was Robin, a young film student, native to the area who communicated with humor and knowledge. The 19 Windmills are amazing, a few over 400 years old. It was drizzling, then raining, then drizzling again but...More

Thank you for your kind review. So nice to read that, even though it was a rainy autumn day, you experienced a great tour at World Heritage Kinderdijk with one of our voluntary guides. Even when it rains it is a beautiful place isn't it?...More
